The new 500e system works with three levels of intervention: acoustic, visual warning and braking jolt. If any danger is detected, the system automatically brakes the vehicle to avoid or mitigate a collision with the vehicle in front, pedestrian or cyclist. In addition, the system will also warn you if the vehicle is not calibrated and if the camera if blinded or failing.
